We realize that we're known as the Ford Dealer South Jersey residents trust most, but we do more than just give great deals on cars and service. Gentilini Motors sees the importance that our contributions, leadership and volunteer efforts help to create a strong, energetic community in which our business can flourish, and our employees and customers can live and work well. That's why we commit ourselves to so many charitable causes.
The Gentilini Motors organization has been a pillar of the communities it serves since 1955. We believe that by supporting local businesses and organizations we help to build a strong, lasting, and prosperous community. By participating actively in local organizations, Gentilini Motors makes various charitable contributions throughout each year. These contributions include monetary donations; sporting event sponsorships; vehicle sponsorships for raffles, Driver's Education Programs, and Parades throughout the year; food, toy, and clothing drive in conjunction with local charitable organizations; and free events we hold for the public at our dealerships throughout each year.
Every year starts off in January with donations and participation with local organizations preparing for upcoming events when the weather breaks. As spring arrives, so do many outdoor activities in South Jersey. Gentilini Motors provides sponsorships in over 20 Golf Outings set up to benefit many worthy charities from finding cures for diseases to helping restore & maintain local landmarks. We finish off the Golf Season with our own Golf Invitational as a way of showing thanks to over 100 of our most loyal customers each year.
When Memorial Day arrives in South Jersey, it marks the start of the Summer Season at the Jersey Shore. Gentilini Motors hosts the largest Antique Car & Truck show in South Jersey on the first Saturday in June to kick off the season. This event is open to the public and free of charge. It's a great, fun filled day of entertainment, antique cars & trucks, food, and beverage for the entire family. There are many other local events that we donate time, door prizes, and money to such as local 4th of July celebrations, Summer Camps, Boy Scout Eagle Projects, and even Woodbine Borough's own Car Show. This is also the time of year that we enter into a joint venture with Kiwanis Club for their Annual New Car Raffle in which one lucky resident from our community will win a brand new car as the summer comes to an end.
As Fall approaches, our local Schools are getting ready for the coming School Year. This is the time of year when things get real hectic with our involvement in school activities, sports, and Holiday Parades. We provide vehicles for the Driver's Education Programs for Holy Spirit/Wildwood Catholic HS, Middle Twp HS, and Cape May Tech HS. We sponsor just about every school & township sports teams, and some of our employees even volunteer their personal time as coaches and board members.
The Holiday Season is one of our favorite times of the year. We start off every October by raising awareness about Breast Cancer through donations, dealership events, and sponsoring local walks and walk participants. When November arrives, we shift all charity focus to help everyone in our South Jersey community that needs it with our Annual Food, Coat, & Toy Drive. Each year we touch someone's heart with this event because the people that benefit from this charity are people just like you that have fallen on hardship due to economy, natural disaster, or military service.
Contributions each year total more than $150,000 from the company, from employees through workplace charitable campaigns, and from customers through our charitable programs. In addition, our employees give more than 27,000 hours of their personal time in community service each year.
